This is by far my favourite story. I found it interesting for a variety of reasons, the fact that the Grabber was a clown reminded me of a story I heard. Basically, these vans would drive around aimlessly and the guys inside them (All dolled up in clown make-up) would constantly try to lure kids inside with free sweets. It certainly reminds me of Al.
Although, did anybody find it puzzling how submissive he was? I don't doubt that he killed those kids but his constant denial and meek behaviour just threw me off guard.

I was re-reading this thread and King mentioned that he hadn't gotten the chance to read the alternate ending...probably got lost when the site crashed. Did a little searching and found this:

BTW, you can read the entire story on-line as well. I wonder how that happens? Is that ok with Joe or did someone put it up without his knowledge?
