I kinda want a kindle, just to have a new gadget that I can enjoy...but I suppose really it wouldn't be worth the money, because I too would prefer a regular book.

Can't believe Shane hasn't moved this thread ....hehehe

You would fit in quite well in the u.S. ali! (Especially regarding the cheese burgers and Tarantino movies.) I do have to say that you are far too young to say that it's too late to learn anything. The guitar is not a difficult instrument to learn. All you need to get started is a guitar and a book that shows you where to place your fingers on the frets. I taught myself that way. Then after you've learned some chords you find yourself getting better and better. You really should try it!

I have to ask...what is kuwaiti traditional clothing?

Very interesting, ali. They make me think of religious robes. Even though they might be difficult to walk in (try it in high heels!), perhaps they are cooler than what guys have to wear here? Do the women wear something similar?

they wear something similar to batman's outfit  - conservative women - wear (abaya)
but the majority wear a wide variety of clothing styles and brands

Okay... 10 things about me.

1. I'm 48 years old and 6'2" tall.
2. I live in central Arkansas.
3. I have three older sisters.
4. I am twice divorced.
5. I am the father of a 14 year old daughter named Kayla whom her mother and I adopted at birth.
6. I live with two dogs: Toto, a Boston Terrier - Poodle mix, (a Bostoodle? and yes, he does look like Toto from the Wizard of Oz) and Sammy, a mixed breed of unknown breeding. All I know is he has 22 toes, lol.
7. My parents have both passed away.
8. My father was a WWII veteran, and is and always will be my hero.
9. I love watching my daughter play softball.
10. My mother and my oldest sister were pregnant at the same time. My oldest nephew and I were born 19 days apart. (He's older.)

Thanks for sharing the pics, ali. I love learning about other cultures. I'm not sure I could an "abaya" on a regular basis. They look like they would be hot.

And thanks to you too E...it sounds like you're living an interesting life. I myself have a labradoodle and she is probably the sweetest dog I've ever owned.

If I got a dog, I want a pickle (picanese (sp?)/beagle). I would name it Pickle. Alas, all I have is a crazy cat named Spanky that thinks she's a dog.

What a gorgeous baby! You must be thrilled P...and probably pretty tired, eh?

Regarding your tattoo...do you regret getting it? I've been thinking about getting one to celebrate my 50th birthday, but I know I can't change my mind later.

Thank you for your kind comments! I'm biased, of course, but I think she's beautiful.

Betsy, I was 39 when I got my tattoo. I don't regret it at all.
