Hi Melissa!

Working, travelling, family stuff, reading L&K religiously. That sort of stuff.

My name is Bruce Brown and I am new to the boards. I am a comic writer
who has done a book with Shadowline Image and I have a all ages Lovecraft graphic
novel coming out. I am a huge fan of Joe Hill's work.
I now have my wife reading his work as well!

Hey! I'm new here.

I'm a college student - a senior - sociology major, film studies minor. I love Joe Hill, as an author. He has a very creative mind and his writing is unrestrained in ways that I wish I could be as an aspiring filmmaker/storyteller. I've read Heart-Shaped Box, most of 20th Century Ghosts, and Locke & Key: Welcome to Lovecraft. I'm looking forward to reading Locke & Key: Head Games next, and I'm very excited about Horns coming out soon. Joe's books strike me as very cinematic and I'm interested in learning about them being made into films/shows, the adaptation process. It's nice to get another artist's unique take on an already existing work. Don't you think?

Anyway, I'm enjoying being here and checking out the board.

Oh yes I agree Andrew! There is a very visual aspect to Joe's written work. I'm still waiting to hear about the HSB movie. And I recently heard that HORNS was already optioned! I, too, am fascinated with the "adaptation" process. We have a great film school here in Winston-Salem and I get to see a lot of budding film-makers. Anyway, I welcome you and wish you great luck in your career!
