Well, it took me ten years, but I finally finished reading Flex Mentallo; Man of Muscle Mystery by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. Talk about an acid trip. Wow!

I have never heard of this. Was it worth the journey?

Yes, definitely. I bought the first three issues of the mini-series ten years ago, and I finally bought the last issue this past week. Each issue covers a different period of comics; the golden, silver, bronze and modern ages. Unfortunately or fortunately the series had a low print run and was never collected due to legal reasons (DC was sued by Charles Atlas) and Flex hasn't been seen since.

Just about anything these two do together is gold. Their characterization of Superman in All-Star Superman is the best in a long time, maybe ever.
And We3 is just amazing. A dog, cat and rabbit escape a military instillation where they were experimented on and turned into weapons. The characterization of the animals is spot on. The cat cracks me up and the dog breaks my heart.
