Terry, congrats on picking up some of Jae Lee's original artwork. Beautiful!

Does it really matter where you buy your comics from? I ask because my husband says you have to buy them from a comic book store, not a book store. He will only buy from one dealer because he says they care about their stuff, always have it wrapped and backed with card board. And he always buys 2, one to read and one to put away.

I believe this series is only available from comic dealers, not general bookstores, so you don't have much choice there. How you handle it and store it is completely up to you.

It's at Barnes and Noble here. I just didn't know if it mattered to anyone else.

Patrick is absolutely correct on the point that standard big box bookstores can and will not carry the comics. However, they will certainly be carrying the graphic novel hardback sets as they are released.

I love the comics, its has been so great to have some new Dark Tower stuff and I am drinking them with a straw.

To answer the original question, there is a difference between comics that are bought at comic stores as opposed to book dealers.

There is a bar code on comics bought at book stores that is not there when you buy them from a comic book shop.

At least thats the way it used to be.

Bookstores are selling the DT comics. We've had them since the first issue.

Trust me, there's more than enough to go around.

My lord Narda! They are only 3.99 at the comic store. Of course if I had to pay more, I would. :)

Just doublechecked and actually they've ranged from $13.05 - $13.38. Apparently it costs a ton to ship a comic to BC. I kind of wish they had some kind of an option where they'll hold them for you and ship them all together. I'm not going to read them till I have them all anyway, and it's not one of those subscriptions that will run for years. Ah such is the joy of living in a small town with no comic book stores or book stores, or clothing stores, or movie theatres, or...can someone remind me again, why do I live here? ;)

Narda,
You live there because you love the privacy of small towns, the view, the quiet, uh um, well damn, that's all I can think of (I live in a small town hours from civilization too, these are my regular excuses for it, lol).

yes Mercy, that's about it. :)

Number 3 arrived today. Looks fantastic. Can't wait until they're all in my hot little hands so I can read them all at once.
