i have no idea if anyone else reads this comic. it's written by Gerard Way who is the lead singer of my chemical romance. when i first heard that i avoided the comic for a year because i wasn't interested in giving him any of my hard earned moolah. i had never given the band a chance either.
then i read the comic and i was wrong. it's awesome and well written.
it concerns an old man who's possibly an alien who adopts 7 special babies who will grow up and save the world...or destroy it.
it's a strange family dynamic that makes it very enjoyable.

the first issue is part origin/part present time story of the estranged family coming together for a funeral.
give it the chance it took me years to give it. you won't be disappointed. or you might.

i'm still not fond of his music. i like three cheers for sweet revenge but the black parade was meh.
hail santa!
