66 Mustang

I think the Mustang in HSB was 67 wasn't it?

Anyway, thought I would share this pic of my husband's father's Mustang. He fixes up older cars, this is a 1966. We took it out this weekend, it was pretty fun.....

Wow meridith...that's a beauty! My dream car is a 65 Mustang convertible, red with white leather seats. But I'd take your FIL's in a heartbeat. Beautiful car!

yeah he had a dream he bought it from his dad. he claims it wasn't a hint that he really was going to buy it or something LOL. It's really cool-his dad did a great job on it. It even has what they call a "suicide knob" in it on the steering wheel, apparently people used to use those to whip around corners. er obviously we didn't use it, its just there for looks!

that would be sweet! I like the new mustangs that are out too. Not very practical when you have a little one though, otherwise I'd be tempted to get a newer (doesnt' have to be brand new) mustang LOL

I love that car.....
I think about suicide knobs often...I drive my own car to deliver mail and I am using my left arm/hand only to drive and when I make sharp corners the knob would be convenient!!

Sweet ride. I once owned a '72 Olds Cutlass Supreme. I miss it.

OOOooooo...what happened to it? Gosh, I love that car...ever since I was 6 years old. I remember the commercial during "Bonanza"!

it was actually dad's car, but most of us kids got it at one time or another as "our" car to drive. he sold it. we all BEGGED him not to, but for whatever reason, he did. and has been kicking himself ever since.
