Just finished Heart Shaped Box

Joe's first novel.

I like the drawings. Joel looks like a character from a Coen Brothers movie.

Late to the Party

I feel like a party crasher. I knew nothing of Joe Hill let alone Heart - Shaped Box. I came upon it in Borders and it sounded interesting.

I am so glad I took the chance. I loved the book. For me I felt a little letdown in the Louisiana showdown but overall it was great character development and story telling for me.

I will highly recommend to others.

Heart Shaped Box

Postby dyarger on Sat May 31, 2008 12:35 pm

I just read this book in one day because I couldn't put it down. I'm currently in recovery from surgery, so having a great read like this to pass the time with was awesome. It was like when I met my wife, the experience spoiled me for all others. I finished the book and couldn't bring myself to read any other books that friends and relatives had gifted me with. My wife, great girl that she is, recognized my love for the book and right away ordered me a copy of "Twentieth Century Ghosts". I'm also enjoying Joe's Locke &Key comic. I'm so glad he's sharing his talent with the world like his father.
