PS HORNS--SOME TRAYCASES ARE DAMAGED.

The devil is in the details.

PS HORNS--SOME TRAYCASES ARE DAMAGED.

It seems that due to PS not packing the traycase version of HORNS properly, which by the way, cost $280 ...that some are coming in damaged...yes DAMAGED....HERES THE KICKER...if you live in the US...it will cost about $32 dollars for a person to send it back to PS....as of right now, there is one person that is dealing with this situation...IT seems that PS is wanting customers with damaged traycases to send the damaged traycases back to them...I guess sending pictures is not good enough...

spending and extra $32 dollars to ship a traycase back to PS is bullshit to me. I hope that PS does something to compensate for this. People dont pay $280 for a "chance" that they will get a undamaged book...

MORe to come........

I would like to say that im actually surprised by PS's reaction. I do have faith that they will rectify the situation and properly compensate those who receive damaged traycases.

Well, I am just anxious to get the slipcased version....hopefully that one will be going out soon...

But yeah, they should send out new ones and then ask for pictures of the damage traycases being destroyed or somthing like that...

This is part of the reason I don't order these special books. Of course, the other part is I can't afford them. If I could it would make me CRAZY if they arrived damaged! I'd have a mental break. I hope yours is ok Mark!

BB....Mine is dinged. Im actually letting the people at thedarktower.com look at it and Im asking their opinions of what to do about it. Its borderline in my opinion.....
Im a little more strict when it comes to books that cost $280..thats the most i ever spent on a book and its partly my valentines and christmas present from mary..lol.

My traycase itself is damaged, but the book is fine.

I was so glad to see that it arrived, then I opened the box and almost got sick. The bottom right corner is crushed. I contacted them and attached several pics. Mike Smith from PS emailed back very quickly and said they will be sending me a new one, bit I must first send the damaged one back. Being in the US I hate paying the shipping cost, but am willing to spend it in order to get a pristine traycase.

I have to say that the book itself is gorgeous, extra chapters, etc...

Again, I hate paying the shipping, but I'm willing to pay the extra to get an undamaged one...sigh...

BTW, PS are good people...so I'm sure they'll make up for it somehow.

I just sent an email to PS asking why they are having people from the US ship the damaged traycases back to them. Im also curious if they are going to ship the traycase in the same unsturdy box that they sent the last one in...then, hell, i might as well keep mine...

I'm sure all of this just came to light with them...and it's the weekend. I'd bet that on Monday they'll come up with a plan to make it up to customers with damaged goods. I'm shipping my traycase back on Monday at my own cost...I'm sure they'll make that up somehow. When they ship the new traycases they'll be in better boxes..they have to be. BTW, I'm just shipping the traycase, not the book itself...I guess that's what your supposed to do.

Demorganakamark, yours has the extra chapters and the fifth color plate, right? My dust jacket matches the cover of the book, but the interior boards are different. Is that what you have?

I have numer 80.

Yeah, mine is the same as yours. beautiful book. I have #176 which matches my Gunpowder slipcase.
