Joe's MySpace

Postby Dana_Jean on Sat Jun 02, 2007 11:52 pm

Okay, I don't want to be critical--because I do not belong to Myspace and have no idea what this involves--but, Joe really needs to revamp his digs there in Myspace.

I think it needs to better reflect the suave, sophisticated, author-man we have come to know and love.

So let it be written,
so let it be done.

I'm one of his friends, but honestly haven't visited in ages!!! MySpace was a short-lived habit for me.

I dunno - I think if people are really interested in his work, they'll come to this site to check things out anyways, right?

Maybe I'm just biased, because I friggin' hate updating my myspace.

I'm not sure what you two mean here. I actually thought that the matching color scheme over all three locations is pretty damn cool.

Personally, I'm glad he's not gone the route of animated backgrounds, and glittering message bars... that stuff always crashes my browser.

I shouldn't have jumped on the criticism wagon...I can't do one frigging thing to my MySpace!! And I hate those flashy-can't even-read-one-word..spaces. I was just "Amening" the description of Joe.

No, I'm not saying he needs the sparkly butterflies flying around or anything like that--it just needs to be a little more--compact. It seems to be spread all over the place with a lot of dead space. I have to scroll tihs way and that way just to view everything.

I like his book area and I'd like to see more book and movie recommendations.

Sounds to me like someone was designing using a widescreen browser with high res!

That'll screw with anyone using 800x600 resolution.

... people still use 800x600 resolution?
 :D

Hey. Did you tighten up your MySpace? It's better tighter. Oh baby.

Along this line, I noticed that the majority of "thanks for the add" people are women.

Joe, with the wide release of HSB and all your publicity, have you gotten any interesting fan letters with nekkid pictures included? I guess that could be from girls or guys?

Just tell me something funny. It's Saturday night and I'm on your board--by myself. Could I possibly get any sadder?

It is an online place that people set up a little info about themselves, then if they're lucky, someone crazy keeps contacting them and wants to either have sex with them or kill them. It's supposed to tell things about your personality etc., but from what I've seen of most of them it is a place to pretend to be as cool as you wish you were.

Good times. Good times.
