Uk Signing - Forbidden Planet in London

Postby ssherr on Fri Mar 30, 2007 2:25 am

Hi all, this is my first post here.
Just wanted to comment on meeting Joe last night in London; his only signing here i think.

What an excellent place to sign books, the underground level of Forbidden Planet is packed to bursting with books, DVDs, comics, the full works.

Very surprised by the intimate nature of the signing. I arrived just 30 mins before it was due to start and joined the back of a quiet queue of about 12 people waiting to meet Joe.

Joe arrived at 6pm and spent time chatting with each person siging as many books as we wanted. An excellent opportunity to meet the author of the best new book i've read for a while. Thanks Joe for the personal attention, I'm sure we all appreciated it!

Plus the shop cleverly lined the queue up through the horror/fantasy section of the bookstore. So I got to spend time browsing Stephen King and then Tolkien books while I waited!!

Just a shame I wasn't able to track down a copy of 2CG in time to get it siged oh well, next time you're in the UK.........

Very cool, John.

You should post that photo with you and Joe. And one of your double inscription on your HSB.

Hi, sign up to photobucket (its free) http://photobucket.com - upload your pictures to the site, then once you have uploaded them the pictures appear on your account in Photobucket. you then need to copy the IMG tag and paste it on to your post on here. It should then appear.
Alternatively if you want you could email them to me and I will post them for you :D
Hope this helps - I am usually quite rubbish at explaining stuff

Once you upload them, you can resize them on photobucket if needed as well. Good luck.

John, you look great except for your unfortunate eye problem. Thanks for posting those.
