I'll play....but if I enter will be determined later. Some things I can draw pretty well at best. I have seen the entries from last summer and "pretty well" will not cut it. There's some talent on these here boards.
I'm looking now to see which comic strips were in publication then - so I am looking into it :D

I'm kinda with you on this TG. I'll give it a shot, but if it doesn't pass muster I probably won't enter it. Then again, I couldn't possibly embarrass myself anymore than I already have. :)

I'm a little confused about where to post the pic, though. At the end of Joe's paragraph on where to post it he says "it won't be a valid entry"...is he referring only to posting on the MB? Do we post it in the comments section on the blog? And is Photobucket ok?

You may send a digital picture of your entry to chalkoff at joehillfiction dot com. You may also e-mail a link to a flickr or other photo sharing site. You’re free to post your images on the message board, but that won’t count as a valid entry.

Copied from rules & such....I read this as submit the entries to
chalkoff at joehillfiction dot com
I may be very wrong, though.

Is that an email address? So we send the picture as an attachment to an email?

We'd better wait on Shane for this. I don't want to give any wrong info based on my interpretations.

Right. You take a picture of your entry, and you email it to us at that address. The reason it's spelled out like it is in the blog is because when you type "someone@someplace.com", there are web tools that scour the Internet for posted email addresses like this, and then spam the holy hell out of them. So, you literally spell it out like "someone at someplace dot com" to avoid it.

This is also why I'm going to go edit TG's post that says the address, just because it's too early to be dealing with tons of spam at that address I made. No worries though!

Any other questions, just ask!

Thanks Shane! I think that's exactly what confused me. I didn't realize that you get spammed so badly like that by "web tools". I've always been careful about giving out or posting my email but I didn't realize that non-humans can get ahold of it. I have so much to learn...
