Possible extra Skeleton Key

Postby dyetye on Fri Jul 31, 2009 1:52 pm

Ok, so, on a couple of star wars boards I am on, I had asked people to pick me up a Locke and Key Skeleton key. Well, two people said they'd try to get one, but it didn't sound overly promising. One person did get me one and I just got it in the mail yesterday  and the second person contacted me saying they got me one as well, and I really don't need two of them (and I know there are people out there who couldn't attend SDCC, the same as me, who wanted one). I don't actually have the second one in hand, but I've dealt with this guy before and he is an honest person, so I am pretty confident. Neither were signed thought...

What is the best way to approach this? I thought about the first person who responds, and I've thought about a drawing to make it more fair to those who are not on at the time I post. I home I don't create any kind of frenzy. I finally saw a couple up on ebay, so I wanted to get this out before someone spends too much money on one.

I would ask for $100 plus shipping..

Just kidding...just the cost ($20) plus shipping, which should be pretty minimal...

So for now, I'm just trying to get the most fair method to get this out to someone who did not attend SDCC...

I am not on the boards too much, so please bear with me if I am slow to respond....

There's a couple of ways you could handle it:

- write down all the names, pick them out of a hat

- write down the names you get, count the number of names you have, head over to http://random.org/ and enter the total number in the "max" field of the random number generator on the right side. Click the button, whatever name corresponds with that number wins.

These are the two simplest that come to my mind right now...

If DT decides to do it your way Shane, then I will officially throw my name into the hat! :)

Please, no one go broke trying to get a Ghost Key. IDW still has some left, which I'll be signing and they'll be selling through their site. So if you didn't get to SDCC, but really want a Skelton key - er, Skeleton - stay tuned. Soon as they're available, I'll post on the blog.

That's cool...guess I shouldn't have sweat it trying to get one...

I still go one that would just cost the regular cost...once I get the key, I can post about doing a drawing of some sort, etc...

Wow...that's gorgeous! I think I read somewhere that Mr. Skelton was working on another, but I can't remember where. Damn CRS!
