Until Cemetery Dance delivers on books that its customers (including me) paid for over a year ago, there is no way I am joining any club or preorder deal from them. They have abused King fans for years now and I hate seeing them start to take advantage of Hill fans too.

This all may sound harsh, but there is no refuting that CD takes full payment for high priced preorders and then after procuring the funds, continually delays release of high profile books for years.

I hope that Joe chooses to avoid CD and do business with other high quality small print publishers with higher standards of business practice - there are plenty out there with hard earned, well-deserved, strong reputations.

I think CD does fine work...but is a bit so...I guess do to
a small staff maybe?

I do enjoy getting their publications...when they come in...
and I have no doubt I'll get all that I ordered. It might
just take a while.

I will order from them again after I've received all that I
have already ordered. Again, I'm not placing any blame
on them, but it does take a while.

To clarify: I agree with James about the quality of CD's product. I love their books - once they're published.

It's the preordering... no, that's not right.... it's the PAYING far in advance which seems to always be followed by endless streams of emails with vague explanations of delays. No other small publisher does this to the extent that CD does.

PS Publishing, Subterranean Press, Donald M. Grant, the list goes on. None of them takes advantage of a popular author's fans the way that CD does.

I ordered the book club 3.0 (pre-ordered) it anyway and received the first book last month. It is definitely worth it! the book four ghost that will have a Joe Hill story in it is going to be part of that club of 12 books and should be a great book. If you didn't get in the club you can still get that book, at least i think so. CD is a great source of books, i have ordered many books and magazines from them in the past few months and highly recommend it. Sounds very strange that a book was ordered and never received for 2 years.

CD is known for having to wait YEARS....i think that some people have waited 4 years for certain titles. Im not a fan of them anymore because they announce titles, they take ur money, then they make you wait...years. I know of two titles right of the bat that ive waited at least 2 years to be published..THE DARK TOWER CONCORDANCE, AND THE some NEIL GAIMAN book..lOOK AT SECRETARY OF DREAMS VOL 2..people have asked for their money back be cause of the wait. I know of Del howlson and his DARK DEL book that is at least 3-4 years and still no word on when it comes out.

To be fair to CD. THeir books are always high end. You cant argue that point. For myself, the main problem , is the feeling of taking your money and running with it.
