HE IS LEGEND

Postby demorganakamark on Thu May 01, 2008 5:53 pm

the following was in a newsletter

We have been asked if there will be an unsigned edition of He is Legend: An Anthology Celebrating Richard Matheson. In short, yes, there will be an unsigned limited. But, we are not taking orders until this fall and we haven't even decided upon a price for the book. However, we will let our newsletter subscribers know when we will be taking orders 3-4 days before we make an official announcement. This bit of a "heads up" should enable you to place an order if you missed out on (or are on the waiting list) the signed numbered and lettered of the book. We are not taking reservations for the unsigned edition.
We have had our lottery for the lettered edition of the book and those who won the lottery have been notified. We are keeping a waiting list in case of cancellations or declined credit cards.

Just an FYI.....I was over at Gauntlet Press to remind myself of when this was coming out as I ordered the signed numbered edition way back.
If you scroll all the way down, you'll see "Just Added: Unsigned Limited edition $50. Cover price $60.

So for anyone who wanted this......:)

Can't wait til Feb! I hope it comes out on time.

And if you can't afford that and just want "Duel" and "Throttle" on audio you can pre-order that from B&N. It's called "Road Rage" and it's also coming out in Feb.

I've been trying to figure out the question you asked for a couple of days now. The obvious answer is, you don't read them...you listen to them. But I have a feeling that is not the answer you are looking for.

I think she means whose voice is on the audio, reading the books to us...

Boy, do I feel stupid! Sorry LK. The loss of brain cells plus the age thing is turning me into a moron. I don't know who is reading on the audio, but I'll check it out and get back to you. And thanks Melissa for clearing that up! :D

It looks like the reader is Stephen Lang who also did HSB, I think.

LOL! Glad to know I'm not alone in having brain-farts. :)
Yes, being an audio-book I was just curious to know who the reader was. Stephen Lang....never heard of him, not that that means anything. In most cases I think those reading audio-books are chosen because of how damn good they are. Before I'd ever listened I thought how boring it would be.....until I heard the nuances they put on each character's 'voice' and how they really bring the story alive!
So far my fave audios have been the HP books and the DT books. :)

Thanks, Betsy-

Your welcome LK...thanks for understanding. I wish there was a cure for "brain farts" although how I could have one for that long has got me worried! Apparently Stephen Lang does a lot of audio book reading and is an actor as well. When I saw his picture I realized I have seen him in several movies.
