"The New Dead" Up For Sale

Talk about Joe's uncollected stories, non-fiction, and random pieces

"The New Dead" Up For Sale

Postby James on Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:25 am

FYI, Bill over at Subterranean Press just listed
"The New Dead" as up for sale.

I went ahead and purchased my copy. For a
limited time they're $100. New stories from
writers including Joe Hill, Max Brooks and
many others! Can't wait to read "Twittering
from the Circus of the Dead"...Joe's new story.

It's a limited print run of only 250 copies.

demorganakamark,

Not a clue...the only thing written is that
they will be numbered and limited to 250.
Although, SubPress will often have
most of their limiteds /lettered editions
signed by one or more of the authors or
editors or artists.

I would imagine this edition would have
some signatures on it, but not certain.
Just shoot an email over to Bill at
SubPress and he'll answer you pretty
quick.

They haven't emailed the sale to their
newsletter recipients yet, or I think it
might have already sold it. Get it while
you can.

By the way, here's a list of what's supposed
to be in the collection:

“Lazarus” by John Connolly
“What Maisie Knew” by David Liss
“Copper” by Stephen R. Bissette
“In the Dust” by Tim Lebbon
“Life Sentence” by Kelley Armstrong
“Delice” by Holly Newstein
“Closure, LTD” by Max Brooks
“The Wind Cries Mary” by Brian Keene
“Family Business” by Jonathan Maberry
“The Zombie Who Fell From the Sky” by M.B. Homler
“My Dolly” by Derek Nikitas
“Second Wind” by Mike Carey
“Among Us” by Aimee Bender
“Ghost Trap” by Rick Hautala
“The Storm Door” by Tad Williams
“Kids and Their Toys” by James A. Moore
“Shooting Pool” by Joe R. Lansdale
“Weaponized” by David Wellington
“Twittering from the Circus of the Dead” by Joe Hill

YES...Joe Will Be Signing It

250 numbered copies signed by all contributors

Not sure if it was always listed on their site,
or if they've added it recently. I most likely
skipped over it.

But, YES, book will be signed by all contributors.

I believe SubPress is releasing the limited version.

St. Martin's...or another publisher...is releasing a
trade edition, if my memory serves me right. So,
it should be available on a wider scope.

THE NEW DEAD will be widely available from St. Martin's Press on Feb. 16th, in trade paperback, for something like $15. That ought to put it out at roughly the same time as HORNS. I dunno but STORIES (which has "The Devil in the Staircase" in it) might be out 'round that time as well.

I'm trying not to think about how much I hate that I did not check this thread back in June.

I can't wait to read Stories. Heard some of "The Devil in the Staircase" and it was intriguing...

Not from Joe's stories.....
