Oh! Go into the Other Mother's workshop and upload pics of family and friends and button their eyes!!!

hehe, here's Jacob when he was only about 4 or 5 looking appropriately scared of having buttons sewn on in place of his eyes.....hehe

Just got back from watching it. I thought that it was pretty good.

I was mesmerized the second time I saw it that you could actually see steam rising from her cocoa in one of the Other world dinner scenes.

Probably after 10 viewings, we still won't have seen every nuance to this film. It deserves many awards....:)

I LOVED the movie! We all went together. My 14 year old fought me on it, but loved it in the end. Our theater had a contest where they planted buttons all over the theater and you had to find one to win a contest. My kids just happened to find EVERY one of them. They were nice and handed them out to a bunch of little kids though. But we got some Coraline buttons (like the pins, with pictures, not eye buttons) and a couple of duffel type bags with the coraline logo and some other little things. Through the whole movie I had to keep checking on Nathan to see if he was sleeping because he didn't move AT ALL. He was totally mesmerized. I can't wait to see it again to catch all the little stuff I didn't before. Neil has a link on his blog about things in the movie that are references to other things. AND I missed the end credit thing...damn it.

But yes, it's an excellent movie. I'm reading Neverwhere now, but will be adding the rest of his books to the pile very soon!
