I watched "Funny Games" last night. My daughter loved it, but I felt cheated. I'd be interested to know what you think about it.

1thru 5 for me. I own 1 thru 6 on dvd, 6 didn't really do much for me. I think that's when I started to lose interest, and didn't watch it EVERY week without fail. I never thought I could get bored of the show, but in time....I don't even know what it was exactly that did it either. Where the turning point was for me. I'm not even certain I want to see the new movie. When I first heard about it I was soooo excited, but the closer it gets to the release date the less excited I am.

hmm... im now wondering when did i stop watching the series myself..it may have been when i started grad school..I know what u mean by watching religiously...im interested in the new movie...just because its xfiles, but im hoping that it is kinda of a stand alone movie...

Possible Spoiler:

PL...what did you think of the remote control incident?

And when the character talked directly into the camera?

poisonlily wrote:Remote control thingy was unexpected and kinda felt like cheating. It seemed more interesting right before that. The talking to the audience thingy was okay. I used to like that kind of thing when I watched Fresh Prince. It was kinda cute then. In this movie...it didn't really add anything to the scenes, but I don't think they could have done without it either.

I just felt like it threw me right out of the story...not that that was such a bad thing. The remote control thing was just not fair. And it drove me crazy when they had the opportunity to get a weapon or get the other cell phone they didn't take it. I found the whole movie totally frustrating.

I haven't seen "The Orphanage" yet...one thing I've noticed about what I've heard is that people either really like it or they really don't. But I have a feeling I'll be one who likes it...especially when you compare it to M.Night's work.

I loved The Orphanage. It reminded me of Pan's Labyrinth in certain ways.
