Any Football fans, here? Not talking about the euro kind, you know the one where they actually use their feet. Bad joke.
Had to start this thread. We are in desperate need of testosterone here and I think I am just the right person to bring it.

GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a football fan here. From what I understand the Dolphins have been horrible the last few seasons...All of my family are NE Patriot fans and my husband is a Buffalo fan. "Go Go Buff-a-lo!"
As for me, my goal is to have to watch as little as possible of this sport. I don't know anything about it.

I do know that a lot of my co-workers love doing the Fantasy Football stuff.

I'm with you TG...I don't really pay much attention to football. BTW, doesn't it seem like the season starts earlier every year? My hubby follows the progress of his favorite teams, but luckily for me he's not a fanatic.

I prefer to watch Dock Dogs, or the frisbee contests with the dogs.

Hey grassy, I feel you on the betting thing. I won a lot of money last season. Not much of a betting man but when it comes to football I cant help it. Maybe because I know my stuff. I just regret not betting on my team during the playoffs. I refused to bet on the Giants during the playoffs because I thought I would jinx them and then they go and win every game. Maybe that is a good thing, though.

I was just thinking: If we Americans are so fat and lazy why are we kicking ass in the olympics? Cant figure it out.

You mean you didn't take the Giants in the Super Bowl? That might have been the easiet bet of the year (at least in football).

I prefer gambling on college more than pro, more games to chose from.

Easiest bet? The Giants winning that game was one of the biggest upsets in NFL history.

Yes. The Giants had won 11 straight road games (10-1 ats) and had recently lost to the Patriots by three at home. The Super Bowl line was Pats -12 I believe, way too high. The line should've been Pats -5 or -6, but public perception dictated otherwise. Remember Vegas sets lines to get equal wagering, because if they have an equal number of bets on each side they are guaranteed money because of the vig.

I don't remember what the money line was. But it was a big upset.

I dont know about all that. Dont get me wrong, I like the faith you have in my team. Dont forget that the Pats were undefeated. The odds are never good against a team that had one every game of the season and playoffs, making most of their opponents seem like pop warner level teams. I remember clearly how most people had complete faith in the patriots. Funny how everyone in my city became (living in CT at the time) a Giants fan over night. Us true fans were disgusted.
Anyway, I really believe that it was good for the NFL that the Giants won that superbowel. It would have been a legendary game (still one for the upset) if the Pats had one that game, perfect season and all. But that fairy tale NFL story that people would have been talking about for decades to come, the memory of that perfect season and superbowel win would have always been tainted with the fact that the Pats cheated their way to perfection. A team that really did not need to, in my opinion. Its good that the Giants won, good for the NFL that is. The underdogs stopping the unstoppable. Brings a tear to my eye.
