Wow. I can't even tell you, it's been so long. I'm going to go see Pan's Labyrinth here soon. By myself. No one wants to see it and I really want to see it on the big screen so screw 'em.

Titanic..no Sh&t...and I went with my daughter who was 19.(Had to just look up at the TV...Ellen is doing an Oscar bit and no kidding...The Theme from Titanic was playing) DO DO DO DO (That's how you write the eerie sound when something spooky happens.)
Anyway...my morose-I never cry-hate everything...little girl started sobbing when the old-man and woman laid down to take their drowning like a man....I always will cherish that moment.(Listening to my daughter become a woman). From then on we shared something special...isn't that a strange sounding relationship!?

And now we are the best friends ever...No kidding..I must mention this strategy to Dr. Phil...
When all else fails, take your kid to a sappy movie and hope she bawls her way to maturity.

I never get to see" grown up" movies any more. Last movie I saw at the theater was Open Season. It actually was one of the funniest kids movie I've seen in quite awhile. And I've seen alot.
My husband can't wait for Happy Feet to come out on dvd. Is that weird?

Jodi, Open Season was my last movie at the theater, too. And for the same reason, I'm sure.

I heard The Messengers wasn't very good. Any thoughts ? And why does Sam Raimi keep producing lackluster movies ?

THE MESSENGERS isn't a movie I'd recommend.

GO!! it's SUCH an experience!! the one i went to had a concave screen, and the seats leaned back. watching the scenes with harry and the dragon in the contest was incredible!! and the sound is great, too.

it's more expensive, and there is the drawback that the screen is SO big, you have a tough time seeing everything at once. still, it's something to experience.

i've been to one on swimming with whales that was so real and beautiful and makes you feel like you're there, that i was teary. and there was one about 3 different caves...an arid desert cave, a regular cave, and an ice cave (with helicopter rides in between - yow!!) that just had me enrapt. go if you have the chance and the funds!

I hope they'll do Star Wars at some point. If they do, I am there, for sure.
