My post count has taken on a life of its own and I've reconciled myself to the fact that I'm just a yakky bitch. But, I wasn't doing that to raise my post count. It was one of those things as I thought about a good movie, I came and posted it before I forgot it.

It is interesting what movies are being recommended. I don't think my movie suggestions are quite what Mark was going for, but, you've got to expand your horizons sometimes.

"STELLA!!!!" Man, I'd forgotten how much I loved that one, though I remember how disturbed I was when I first watched it a million years ago. I love all your picks, DJ.

Another great Brando film is "On The Waterfront"...."Charlie...I coulda been a contender."

My daughter (the one who loves scary movies) told me to watch the preview for this one...it actually looks pretty scary, with a kind of black humor edge to it. I haven't seen it listed in the theaters here yet and wonder if it will get a wide release?

One of my daughters went to see "The Strangers" the other night. She was so scared I had to sit with her til she fell asleep! She was freaked out about it HOURS after she saw it! At this point, I'm actually afraid to watch it!

Apocalypse Now
Sideways
Pulpfiction
Full Metal Jacket
The Good Shepard
Grandmas Boy

From the top of my head. I dont go to the movies anymore so I cant name anything recent. Most likely you have seen these movies anyway.
As a side note, I just spilled water all over my Cable modem and now its making a funny noise. Sounds like a coffee maker, kind of. Fuck me.

Yesterday afternoon my daughter talked me into watching "Candy" with Heath Ledger. If anyone out there needs a really good cry this is the movie for you.
Sometimes I purposely watch sad movies...crying is very therapeutic for me. I will say that watching sad movies is much easier for me than reading sad books. I'm not sure why.
