This cover was for the soundtrack of Donnie Darko. And the director of this particular video is Michel Gondry, for me the best music video director in the world. I can't even imagine how he comes up with some of his ideas. For example, this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WVpHHnG-xpw
And as I slit it open
It became clear to me that
Scalpel cuts are not as easy to close
As I'd suspected earlier.

Izzy,
that was an awesome video!
Have you ever seen any of Chris Cunningham's work? If not, check this out and look up more on YouTube.

Just don't watch it in the dark and by yourself. I did that the first time I saw it and ended up running full speed down the hallway into my bedroom waking up my husband who seems to have gotten used to my late night self-scares...lol

Yes, I enjoy Chris Cunningham's work as well, along with Spike Jonze. http://www.director-file.com/ this site provides much info about Chris and Michel. Be sure to see Michel's latest film, Be Kind Rewind. I absolutely love his previous films, especially Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Izzy,
sounds like you and I share very similar taste. I enjoy those directors as well.
Maybe if something unforseeable happens you can take me up on that procreation offer...lol

Oh wow. That was so interesting. Not that thrilled with the song itself, but the film work was really intriguing.

That was creepy as hell. I worried about the dog ( yes, the puppy) the whole entire time.

If you're a fan of Michel Gondry pick up The Work of Director Michel Gondry from Palm DVD. It's excellent. They also have collections of Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonze.
