What are you listening to now, and why isn't it Marah?

Shook me All Night Long? That's the best you can give me Joe Hill?

Okay, it's good. But there were others on your list that spoke to my inner 80's pop song diva person woman thingy.

Off the list you started with I really love Rag Doll by Aerosmith though

Hey Joe,

Have you heard Hayseed Dixie's rendition of that song, from their album Let There Be Rockgrass? Highly infectious stuff!

I've heard a bunch of Hayseed Dixie stuff, and thought it was good for a laugh.

When I made my initial list of 32 songs, I really thought "Patience" would go all the way.

I love all those songs, Joe, but I notice the conspicuous absence of Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water and Judas Priest's Turbo Lover...that song was so fun to drive to....takes me right back to the 80's. driving around with my best friend stalking our would-be boyfriends, lol.

Van Halen's Panama takes me back to neighborhood carnivals and riding the Himalaya, Panama blasting through the speakers, lol.

And the B-52's Rock Lobster was a biggie, but I know- not rock. ;)

I remember SMOKE ON THE WATER being played at every dance I went to in high school. And, when that opening started up, all you wanted to do was get out there and move! The adrenaline is pumpin', and hopefully you've got yourself a hot partner to move with. you get out there and all of a sudden it dawns on you that your moves don't last as long as the opening let alone the whole friggin' song!

eegads. I can remember practically hoping the band would just quit playing. Just plain ass stop playing after the opening so we could move on. But they never did. And by God! you weren't going to walk away from SMOKE ON THE WATER. That would've been cause for a lynchin'.

well Joe at least you've been educated properly, your pix are ok but a little heavy on the G&R I must say!

Hot For Teacher, a classic, one of my fav lines "I don't feel tardy".

great list!

Songs from the "80's " kids....not 60's or 70's...read the name of the freaking bracket...

Sorry..I Banged My Head...

Speaking of which...I dragged my husband to a Quiet Riot concert at the Bangor Auditoriam late 80's and my husband got drunk and stood beside me on the floor and raised his middle fingers and yelled "You Fucking Suck" the whole concert....Looking back I think he may have been right.

Yeah..I didn't mean to yell...I never got any of the mellow Peace drugs when I was working my way thru the early "70's....I only got the ones that make you act like and idiot when you turn 51.
