Paraphrasing facts from the Post Article…

A) Obama was campaigning publicly for a speedy withdrawal from Iraq.

B) Obama tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on withdrawal from Iraq…

Not only are A and B polar opposite positions and therefore intellectually dishonest, but B is a clear attempt to interfere with and undermine the foreign policy of the current administration.

C) “Obama also tried to persuade the US commanders, including Gen. David Petraeus, to suggest a "realistic withdrawal date."

Obama failed, but remains a clear attempt to undermine the chain of command and the military policy of the current administration…for Obama’s own political agenda!

You honestly see nothing wrong with this?

A lot of people saw something wrong with it Mosbey, and the only reason it wasn't illegal treason is because he was not in those meetings alone when he tried to convince them to delay the withdrawals until after the election.

The meeting wasn't held in private. He was there with the Bush folks.

Mark...how would you honestly characterize Obama's actions? Do you see nothing wrong with what he has done in this case?

People may say that that Obama did that because he like the majority of america feel like the Bush admin are not capable of handling the situation as it needs to be handled......

I think facts disagree with you again, Mark, but let us assume you are correct for the moment…

Why then was Obama preaching openly for a speedy withdrawal from Iraq, yet in private trying to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on withdrawal from Iraq?

Mosbey,

If that meeting were in private, it would have been treason. Think about that.

He's a senator running for office, not part of the presidential administration, nor their advisors.
