I started hating politics myself when I lived in FL after the 2000 election. I went through a period of about a year or so when I refused to vote anymore. At any rate, I'm glad it's almost over, too. I'm glad I got to vote early.

I do hope I don't offend or annoy anyone by saying this, but you in the US can have no idea of how anxiously and hopefully the rest of the world is also watching and waiting for the results of this election - at least, those of us in Europe anyway. I'm developing sympathy pains like the redundant husband of a woman in labour here.

I was at the casino Saturday night and sitting at the poker table with me were two Norwegians and a young Polish woman. I asked who they hoped would win the election and they all replied Obama.

I may know the answer to this daisy, but who are most Europeans rooting for?

A trifle harsh, perhaps. We do after all have access to all the same sources of information that you do, and if we care to inform ourselves well, then we do. Though we are of course merely very, very interested observers and I reiterate I mean no annoyance or offence in commenting here on your election. And now I'm off to obsessively watch the updates.

Europeans should be interested. Americas election DOES effect the world, after all. I just know many european who like Obama just because he is different. When asked about his policies, most didnt know any, the few who did only knew about Iraq. I cant knock them though, shit, thats more then many Americans, dare I say MOST, know.

From what I've heard they DETEST Bush and see Obama as the exact opposite.
