I read Locke & Key: Headgames a couple of weeks ago. Then Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said by Philip K. Dick. He's awesome. I'm currently reading Duma Key by Stephen King.

Oops. In my last post, I meant that I read Welcome to Lovecraft a couple of weeks ago. I haven't read Head Games yet; it's next on my list, for serious. Really cool story so far and great artwork, too!

Nope, I'm waiting for Nov to read UtD first since I'm sure there'll be similarities.....:) But I do have both parts downloaded....

It's really very great, but also really very disappointing because the story just stops! It hooks you right in, then you don't get the rest of it! I hope he posts more soon!!

I can't believe I have to wait 15 days to get UTD. Sigh!

Right now I'm reading PERFUME. It's good, but it's one of those stories where you can't find anyone to relate to or feel any sympathy for...unless it's for the folks who are murdered.

I'm not getting UTD right away. Reason 1 - I'm determined to finish Harry Potter before I do anything else, so that's gonna take some time, especially since every book is double the size of the previous! Reason 2 - I'm hoping to get it for Christmas.....

When is your birthday, herbie?

I can't wait that long...luckily, I get a B&N gift card when I use my credit card so I can purchase books even when my kids are driving us into the poor house. I hate B&N, btw, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do when it comes to books! I have no shame!

Just finished Perfume. Whoa! Much better than the movie! Even so, it was pretty nauseating in places, so be warned! And I had a similar response as I do to "Dexter", in that I had a lot of trouble with my emotions regarding the sociopathic tendencies of the main character.

Went to Goodwill and found BELOVED by Toni Morrison and WILDERNESS TIPS by Margaret Atwood...both for $2! I love it when that happens. Started BELOVED...it has an oddly compelling rhythm to it.

And thanks to my maxing out my credit card I'm not only getting UTD but also LAST NIGHT IN TWISTED RIVER by John Irving. I love him, but I still wanna write him a letter about his last book (UNTIL I FIND YOU). It still disturbs me to think about it.

Finished reading We Think, Therefore We Are edited by Peter Crowther. It was one of the four collections i won in the Love Your Indie contest, signed. The stories were ok, some better than others. Some were more sci fi than i like. Now reading Under The Dome by Stephen King and i'll have to pick a smaller book to take to work with me, Thinking Books of Blood by Clive Barker.

I will never order a new release book over the internet again. Still haven't gotten my copy of UTD yet. :( I still have to finish BELOVED (which is very good, btw) but it's driving me nuts that everyone else already has it!
