As a kid, I'd have to say the Amityville Horror. My favorite was the little girl & her demon playmate. I was raised on horror films (with much thanks to my dad) I remember watching all the Jason and Freddy movies..as a 9 year old girl...they def freaked me out. I liked the first Children Of The Corn and the first Candyman. Now...The Grudge,Ju-on<----I bought the wii game for this,a haunted house simulator. It's pretty cool...needful things...mothman prophecies(the bridge collapse happened fairly close to where I am (Ohio)...Seven..Silence Of The Lambs ...just to name a few.
We know that movies can never compare to a book. As a young girl The Game( I have to admit that I don't remember the author's name...I was very young when I read it(about 10 yrs old) It was a black cover with a girl holding an ouija board..maybe someone else has read it??) was the scariest book ever. As an adult I'd say that Joe Hill is creeping to the top of my favs.
