it's only one issue in, but the comic NEMESIS is pretty awesome.
it's a story based in the real world, where what if a rich billionaire used all his money and gadgets to fight the police and do very villainous shit?

Nemesis is supposed to be a sort of what if Batman was a Villain.

I finally got around to reading I Am Legion by Fabien Nury and John Cassaday; not your typical vampire story set during WWII. Check it out.

Just about anything by Warren Ellis, but especially Planetary. It may be the best super-hero comic about the super-hero genre.

anything by paul pope. i can't even explain why i like his comics but i do. and i hate everything.
100% is a really good one. heavy liquid is a another. he did one a few years ago called "batman: year 100" that was a really interesting take on batman in a 1984 type future.

The Unwritten #12 is one of the funniest stories I've read in quite awhile. Think of a profanity laced Winnie the Pooh story.
