Back story - mom's boyfriend used to own a "crazy gifts" shop on the same site, and is now selling all the inventory in the bar. The inventory runs from trick cigarettes to sex toys. So we're all there talking about how it was too bad that my ex was moving in three weeks, because he is notorious for getting thrown out of bars, and it would be fun if my mom had to bar him from her place. Ten minutes later, he walks in with his new girlfriend. A little bit later, he's gone for awhile, and so is my mom, which I didn't realize. She comes out a bit later and says "I just helped Mike (the ex) pick out 2 dildos for his girlfriend". UGH....his exmother-in-law had to help him buy sex toys for his new skank....

I can't make this up. Really.

That IS funny Mel! LOL!
Is it just me or does his choice of sex toys say something about his...(how shall I put this?)...abilities?

Yes. My response when mom told me was "well, i totally understand what she needs it for." Then I looked at my husband and told him I love him, very, very much :)

Love the bar / dildo story, Melissa. That is great! And, I am with Grasking...could have been for him :)

Random - My life is very much the same. Good point - nothing bad to report and thankful for that, really. Bad point - things are so "routine", I really need to do SOMETHING to make each day feel different than the other.

have a garage sale and dress like a pirate and see if anyone asks why.
fuck with strangers in public by pretending you have a mild form of tourettes.
nurture a drug habit.
buy a gun and carry it unloaded under your clothes.
pretend you're immortal for a few days.
learn a foreign language.
paint lovely landscapes and hide weiners in the background.
write filthy messages in bathroom stalls. or even clean messages.
skateboard down the tallest hill in town with no pads on.
call a cop a pig to his face and run away.
go to a place where there are lots of kids with balloons and pop them.
talk with an accent for a day (i talked like comic book guy for an entire weekend)

these are all excerpts from my pamphlet on keeping life interesting in the worst possible ways.
i used to find really cute pictures and put terrible messages on them then hang them in public places. then i got scared i'd get in trouble for vandalism so i just decided to do heroin for a few hours.

i'm sooo cold.

I like all of them Romeo
popping kids balloons is one I like best (I get downright mean as I get older) LOL
call a cop a pig to his face and run wouldn't work, can't run very fast with a cane , I'd get caught
